## Why name it 'The Cave Wall'? This group is an ode to the [[Platonic Academy]], and the name references Plato's [[Allegory of the Cave]]. We all, to one degree or another, see the world through shadows on this wall - and the Socratic maxim of acknowledging one's own ignorance, is one we hold near. The value of this group lies in exploring the unknown and receptivity to those who've ventured into it. The walls of a cave symbolise the birthplace of human meditation, imagination and expression. From the Hindu Yogis to Khoisan rock-artists, the caves have served as mental shelter, solace and solitude - for contemplation and creation. We hope the creative constellations scattered on this cave wall inspire, innovate and connect.
